AHOS Basketball Team

The following is our choices for the most talented and most shameful players in basketball past or present to fill our team.  These players had to have a good combination of both to be considered.  If you think we've forgotten someone or you think one of them shouldn't be on here, let us know at ahosteams@athletehos.com

 

PG-Jason Kidd (1994- )
The Nets superstar was voted the players favorite in 2002 by Dime Magazine (the baketball players magazine - find it online at dimemag.com) . He plead guilty to domestic abuse for assaulting his wife (fined and sentenced to probation)


SG-Ron Artest (1999- )
Suspended and fined multiple times for on-court and off-court antics, went into crowd to attack a fan during a game, charged with spousal abuse


SF-Latrell Sprewell
(1992-2005)

Suspended for remainder of ‘97-’98 season for choking his coach, allegedly choked a woman on his yacht (no charges were filed), fined for making obscene remarks to fans


PF-Dennis Rodman
(1986-2000)

Fined multiple times for aggressive play, assaulted referee, cameraman, and wife, charged with DUI


C-Bill Laimbeer
(1980-1994)

Suspended and fined multiple times for fighting and aggressive play, lost over $85,000 in fines and lost pay, had streak of 685 consecutive games played (4th all-time) snapped due to suspension



Coach-Bobby Knight
(1965-2008)

Known for yelling at referees and media, allegedly choked a player during practice and assaulted various other players, threw a chair onto the court during a game
