Dennis Rodman

Former power forward in 80’s and 90’s primarily for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls. Won five NBA Championships (2 with Pistons, 3 with Bulls). Named to two All-Star teams. Named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in ’90 and ’91. Led NBA in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years. Named NBA All-Defensive First Team seven times.

Shameful Moments:

-Notoriously had tattoos and piercings and kept his hair dyed outlandish colors

-Wore a wedding dress at a public appearance while promoting his autobiography Bad as I Wanna Be

-Fined $500 on March 14, 1989 while with the Pistons for leaving the bench during a scuffle with the Indiana Pacers

-Fined $5000 on March 11, 1991 while with the Pistons for elbowing Milwaukee Bucks F Danny Schayes

-Fined $5000 on May 27, 1991 while with the Pistons for pushing Chicago Bulls F Scottie Pippen from behind

-Head-butted referee Ted Bernhardt during a March 16, 1996 game in New Jersey

-Tripped over cameraman Eugene Amos during a January 15, 1997 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and proceeded to kick him in the groin (paid Amos $200,000 in a settlement and was suspended for 11 games by the NBA)

-Missed multiple practices with Bulls to wrestle in the WCW during the summer of 1997 (received a fine by the NBA)

-Made feature film debut in Double Team with Jean Claude Van Damme in 1997 (received little to no critic acclaim - won three Golden Raspberry Awards: Worst New Star, Worst Supporting Actor, and Worst Screen Couple with Van Damme)

-Arrested in November 1999 for assaulting actress/wife Carmen Electra (charges were later dropped)

-Arrested in December 1999 in California for driving while intoxicated (pleaded guilty 7 months later to drunk driving and driving without a valid license and was fined $2000 and put on three years probation)

-Released by Dallas Mavericks in 2000 after some judgmental comments of Mavericks owner Mark Cuban

-Sued by former waitress Jo Len Ann McGowen for sexual battery, false imprisonment, negligence, as well as assault and battery during a March 2001 incident

-Jailed for public drunkenness in September 2003

-Crashed a motorcycle while allegedly driving drunk in the fall of 2003

-Named commissioner of the Lingerie Football League in 2005

-Charged with domestic violence, spousal battery, brandishing a deadly weapon and dissuading a witness on May 16, 2008 for hitting his girlfriend at a hotel, injuring her arm (plead no contest to misdemeanor charge of spousal battery and sentenced to 45 days of road cleanup work, a year of domestic violence counseling and 3 years' probation)
